Girls Night Out - Room 231 - Part one

Upstairs far above the bar, Room 231 has been rented for the night of fun and a warning placed on the Door. No one Under 21 allowed inside... And a sign, with large script written so neatly you would swear it was typed saying Girls Night Out in Progress. Men may enter at their own risk.

You can say this for a Command.Com, when they go about making a party they go ALL the way out. Three tables are set up with User-friendly only snacks and booze, Sprite Friendly only snacks and booze, and a rather bare table waiting for booze that the kitsune promised to bring, being friendly to both data and matter beings!

Pillows abound around a big screen TV, over in a corner several bags sit waiting to surprise the people about the come in. Now all that all that's missing are the girls for their night of fun.

"After mine are done would you like us to do you nails too, Suzi?" Because friends need to make over friends crashit.

"Huh. I don't see much fighting these days but you know that's a good thing to remember... Come on, Laini brought something called Cloudahol that you HAVE to try." She walked over to the Mutually friendly table and picked up the pink bottle.

"Well, I live there now, but I was initialized in a different system. Though I don't consider myself t'be from anywhere in particular, really."

"Sure!" She says cheerfully, "In red, maybe? That's my favorite color." After watching Mouse for a few nails, Suzi starts doing Dot's other hand.

"Richard blew it up. I just tried not to swallow worm-spit. Ick." Jack Sparrow, specifically, introduced Suzi to rum. Bottles and bottles of rum. "I'm Sime," she says with a grin, "I have to drink bottles of rum to get drunk...unless there's a Gen around? But Whistler wasn't invited? I'll try anything, though!"

"Oh!" She peers at the elf, "Pointy ears. It's very pretty, but I like your usual body better? It suits your nager." All...bubbly. And nuts. Mostly nuts. "Alright...so if I make you anything, I shouldn't make it out of iron. I can do that."

Barbara rolls in late, quite late. Her hair is a mess and she looks a bit tired. "Hey, Dot. Sorry I'm late. I had an earthquake rescue operation to organize, and when I wrapped that up we ended up with a volcanic eruption out in the Pacific."

She looks around, "Wow, it looks like you've managed to get quite a crowd. Introduce me?"

"Laini?" Jen asks. She hasn't met Laini yet, but the Cloudahol sounds interesting.

"Is it made of cumulus clouds?"

Or thunderheads?

"Richard's not the only one that took old Marvin down. I let him have a few right hooks, and Duo gave him a nice fiery taste of mech love."

The rest of Suzi's statement is mysterious, to say the least.

"Sime?"

Jen translates this mentally as 'born in a Compaq across town, traveled via DSL to Dot's PC.'

"Why do I get the feeling that Dot's part of a very hospitable system? One with lots of virus protection?"

This joke pretty much goes over Mouse's head, since she is unfamiliar with the culture to which it refers. "'Cause you've probably picked up on Dot's management style, Sugar," she says.

"I'm not sure what it's made of, she brought it from her homeworld called Underhill, it's one of the few things data and organic people can both drink safely and it tastes." She pauses, sprite taste differently than people. "It has a lot of AMPs in it. I'm not sure how it tastes to a human palatte."

"That's alright Barbara, I'm glad you made it!" She walks over. "Take a load off... The girl with the tentacles on her arms is Suzi Darley, she's been a friend to Bob and I since he first came here..."

"I know. But Richard's the one who got me out." She says wryly. Then she holds up one arm and splays the tentacles on it before re-wrapping them around her own wrist, "Symbiotic sub-mutation of humanity from approximately 4870. Our other-half are called Gen. They don't have tentacles."

"You bettter tell me what AMPs are, sweetie, before I try this. My metabolism can handle a lot, but just in case."

Shulkie having an acute allergic attack would not be pretty.

"She's all business, isn't she? The type that could run an army and still have time to keep the kitchen spotless. My favorite kind of girl. How long have you known her?"

Jen? Would love a guided tour of PC innards, even though she knows that it's physically impossible, unless she inhales enough Pym particles to be reduced to 0.000000000000001 inches tall.

"Those," Jen observes, "must be handy."

She's not in the least weirded out by Suzi's tentacles; back on good 'ole Earth-616, Suzi's arms and hands would be attributed to mutation, of the garden variety, compared to someone like Hank McCoy or Beak or one Benjamin Grimm.

"4870 by whose reckoning?"

Could it be? Someone from the future? At last!

"The one that, um. Has AD and BC on it?" She offers after a moment, "I'm in everybody I've met's future." Suzi always loves it when someone takes her tentacles in stride. It's weirder for her to be the only one around than it is for most Milliways people to encounter them.

"Sprites and data forms like me usually eat energy and compressed data. AMPs are a kind of energy. This -tastes- like it has a lot of AMPs in it... I think Laini said it tastes really sweet." She grinned. "Different biologies and taste receptors I guess."

"Did I tell you what a great idea I think this is?" Barbara smiles. She looks over at Suzi and nods, "I've run into her a couple of times, but we've never really talked much."

"Not really, but to be honest? I think we ALL needed a break from weirdness, stress and general 'augh' inducing subroutines for a while. Especially Suzi after the thing with the Oil." Dot grins. "There's even a few people I haven't met yet here..."

Barbara nods, "She had a real rough time. I don't think it was really something she was cut out for. But her help was invaluable."

Then she grins, "Sounds like people know a good idea when they hear it to me."

"Well, if it isn't Ms. Grace Under Fire. Hiya, Oracle."

Color Jen very impressed with Babs, during the Black Oil escapade.

"Yeh.... that or looking for any excuse to have a good time. Laini, whome I don't you've met yet, even brought mutually friendly food for everyone."

It's pink, fluffy, and to human taste buds? It tastes like cotton candy. It acts like mild booze to all forms of life. It is Cloudahol, behold your new boozegod.

"Hello yourself," Barbara grins back. "It's too bad you're not from my world," she'd know, "I know some people who'd love to meet you."
