Girls Night Out - Room 231 - Part one

Upstairs far above the bar, Room 231 has been rented for the night of fun and a warning placed on the Door. No one Under 21 allowed inside... And a sign, with large script written so neatly you would swear it was typed saying Girls Night Out in Progress. Men may enter at their own risk.

You can say this for a Command.Com, when they go about making a party they go ALL the way out. Three tables are set up with User-friendly only snacks and booze, Sprite Friendly only snacks and booze, and a rather bare table waiting for booze that the kitsune promised to bring, being friendly to both data and matter beings!

Pillows abound around a big screen TV, over in a corner several bags sit waiting to surprise the people about the come in. Now all that all that's missing are the girls for their night of fun.

Both the User friend and the sprites friendly food tables, each with their respective warning signs stand packed with food, some pastries as suggested and but of course... Cheesecake. The User table is covered with five different kinds two of which most definitely contain that lovely concoction known as chocolate.

The Mutually friendly food table does not have much yet, aside from several strange snacks, including the fried paradoxes, something called Sweet Sassing, which looks like a gooey version of pie.

Want to feel oh so pretty and pampered? The hand and foot spas are bubbling warmly and the girls have brought their make up and mirrors. Get gussied up all girly like... or get silly and put on some war paint.

It's shiny, it's a stage and it may or may not be the evil version found in the bar common, but it's Karaoke time folks! The lights flash on the mike-stand and invite disaster to the most drunken of friends. Please take photographs.

"Hi, Dot!" One Suzi Darley, looking...bright eyed and bushy tailed and very, very squeeful.

Mouse comes in a little early to help set things up, including putting labels on the different tables so party guests can tell what's what. She also brought in what looks like a black metal briefcase, but is actually an arcade game: fortunately you can minimize things in Milliways, otherwise she might have had trouble. She plans to expand it later, when more people are here.

"Okay, Dot. Fer the drinkin' games, I figured out from the Bar that one I/O shot is about the same as a shot of something called tequila. D'we have any a'that?"

"Hey Suzi!" One Command.Com giving the Sime a big hug. "I labelled any food that wasn't 100% Sime-safe and Laini's coming over with more stuff soon."

Mia's never had a fried paradox before. Time for her to try one, I suppose.

Come say hi!

"And Whistler says I can have sugar tonight." She hugs back, beaming even more, "So it'll be lots of fun!"

"We have that, and some other stuff too," Dot is grinning from ear to ear about this. "What's in the breifcase?"

"Hi." This...is not so much Dot, but she's grinning and holding up booze, "This is tequila."

"Careful with them." Suzi says cheerfully, "They're weird. Hi, I'm Suzi."

"I bet, there'll be a couple of surprises later I hope you'll love." She is a happy sprite yes yes yes.

Weird is all relative, after all.

"I'm Mia."

She smiles and looks the paradox over.

"So what's weird about them?"

Other than it's, you know, a paradox?

"How could I not?" She demands, "I zlin your emotions...I zlin everyone and it makes me feel like everyone else!" Suzi? Is only going to get more hyper as the night wears on.

"Well, they give me psychospatial disorientation, but I'm Sime and you're not. They taste...pretty much exactly like an onion ring doesn't, really?" At I'm Sime she spreads her handling tentacles before re-wrapping them around her arm.

"It's that non-destructive Game I was talkin' about. I figure I better leave it 'till everyone's gotten here an' made a little chitchat. It's gonna be a surprise."

"Point made." Dot chuckled. "I invited a lot of girls aside from the ones you mentioned, so this should be interesting." She scooped up a cupful of widgets from the sprite-food table and started munching on some.

Mouse takes a quick look at Suzi's tentacles, but since she hasn't been around Users long enough to know that this sort of thing is really unusual, she doesn't find it any more weird than most of the stuff she's seen here in the past couple of cycles. "Thank you, darlin'. Name's Mouse. How about you?"

"Alright then.... set it over by the karaoke machine, it'll be a while before everyone gets here."

This night could only be better if there were penguins. Yes. "Eeeee." She grabs a something marked Sime-safe and nibbles.

Okay, probably not the strangest thing Mia's seen, but it is a first.

"Wow."

There's a strange part of her that's kind of jealous, wishing she had something like that.

She tries the fried paradox.

"I think I see what you mean."

"Suzi." She says, grinning up at the Sprite, "Suzi Darley? I'm a friend of Dot and Bob?" Suz is one of a kind, here. Sometimes Belar does Sime for a couple of hours, but not generally in public.

They're perfectly ordinary! If, you know. You're Sime. Like Suzi. Er. Her world considers them perfectly lovely, anyway. She beams at zlinning Mia's jealousy and says, "I couldn't live without tentacles again...sometimes I wonder how I survived childhood!"

"I kinda figured y'were, if you're here. I ain't been in Milliways long and this is my first chance to get introduced to some friends o' friends."

"I like them. They remind me of gorgons at home."

Which, as you can see from the LJ name, should be taken as a compliment.
