The talk with Turbo was not encouraging. There never was, never has been any mention of ANY adopted sisters or a cadet named 'Lisa' at the Academy, or of any 'resistance group'.

So there is one very edgy and worried Command.Com going over files and debating taking all of this to Milliways when the vidwindow pops up right in front of her.

Phong looks highly distressed. "Dot? I have just spoken with Bob..."

"Is this about this 'Lisa' he keeps talking about?"

It does not take much to figure that much out.

Phong nods sadly. "He said he was worried about your memory because you did not recall her. When I told him that I did not either, and that my memory was fully functional, he seemed to think I was pretending and must be biased against this 'Lisa' for being half-virus." He shakes his head slowly. "I suggested that his own memory might be at fault, and he became very angry indeed."

"I checked all my records, even talked to Turbo to see if there was any tru--..."

She pauses and looks at Phong for a moment. "Half-virus?"

"So he claimed."

Now that really does not fit.

"There's no way anyone viral would have made cadet at the academy." She muttered, half to herself, before looking back into the vidwindow at Phong. "What's more, there is no record of anyone named Lisa having been friends with OR adopted by Bob's parents."

Phong nods. "It is as I thought, then. There must be something wrong with Bob. But he refuses to be scanned, and nothing appeared amiss on the earlier scans..."

"So it's a recent event, and there's no way of scanning him to find out exactly what it is... And confronting him won't work."

Just marvelous.

"So we must find a way to scan him without his acquiescence. I dislike it, but this is very worrying. I don't suppose he is a particularly heavy sleeper?" Phong says hopelessly.

"...Not really, since Glitch pretty much scans all the time, even when he's asleep."

Makes sneaking up on Bob near impossible.

Phong nods glumly. "Ah, yes. Glitch. A pity we cannot make him scan himself..."

Thanks to the wonders of millitime, Matrix comes in after finding out something rather...interesting...about Bob. He came to talk to Phong about it, but he'd caught the tail end of his conversation with Dot as he was walking in.

"Y'know, that ain't exactly true."

"...What isn't exactly true?"

Dot eyes her little brother with a surprised look, what is he suggesting, exactly. "That he can scan himself against his will?"

"Pretty much. I just found out about it. Bob is merged with Glitch, who still recognizes me as one of his operators, so..."

He decides to let her draw her own conclusions.

From Point A to Point B in a fraction of a picosecond, Dot smiles.

"Then we may have a solution... How soon can you get that done?"

"Soon as you need me to...which I'm guessin' is ASAP. Next time I see Bob, I'll give him the command."

This will be...interesting, to say the least.
