The biggest event in Mainframe...

...in a little over a tetrakilocycle, is in the center of Mainframe. The Front Hall of the Principal Office has been decorated in white with pale blue flower motifs into every gather and hanging drape.

Such are the perks to being the COMMAND.COM of a small system. The wedding band is waiting on one of the galleries, and everyone else is starting to file in. It looks like every single resident of Mainframe is coming to the event, along with a few friends from outside the system.

"I'll be fine Dad...just a little case of the nerves." Dot says looking down and smiling at the null. "Everything else is ready I take it?"

The red bot straightens himself up looking at the duo, back and forth for a bit. You can hear the small parts rattling as he processes the couple of guys before bowing and swinging around, voicelight blinking. "Right this way Dr. Oliver and Guest!" "But I wanna show em!" "You can show em cause I picked the Bride's side, Slash, and you got the Groom's!"

You gotta tempt fate, don't you?

The ushers (ushbots?) look nonplussed. "Oh."

"How do we seat her on both sides?"

Slash brightens. "One at a time?"

"Ooh, yes! Me first!" Hack turns back to Oracle. "Follow me, please, Miz Oracle!" He rolls off in the direction of an empty seat on the bride's side.

That's a tricky one. They were invited by the bride's little brother... Danny's 'sister' is flower girl... but he did meet Bob first. "Groom, I guess."

Oracle grins brightly and does as ordered.

She hopes that this doesn't disrupt things too much.

If it does, it won't be her fault.

As soon as she is seated, Slash rolls up. "My turn! This way, please!" and he gestures across the aisle.

"Of course," she says as she pushes herself to her feet. The truth is she doesn't mind. Because in this form she has working legs. Sitting down and standing up? Totally a luxury.

"Hmm? Oh, yes. Everything looks fine to me. Well...from where I stand."

He was in an upright position, rubbing two pseudopods together in an impatient sort of way.

"I suppose it's the waiting that does it, right?"

Matrix walks up from behind Bob and taps him on the shoulder. "Relax. It's my job to worry about getting you to the wedding in good condition. If you're not ready, it's my fault, not yours."

"I'm gonna screw it up," Bob mutters under his breath. "I'm gonna step on her toes or forget my lines and make an idiot of myself in front of the whole system--"

"And 'ow's that diff'rent from any other cycle, mate?" smirks Ray Tracker as he struggles to get his tie on straight.

Matrix ignores Ray, even though he thinks the comment was fairly good and accurate. "So you'll make an idiot of yourself in front of all of mainframe. Dot will still love you, and the ceremony will still happen. Oh, and I'll laugh my head off until AndrAIa slaps me on the back of the head for making a scene, and think no worse of you after the ceremony."

"Thanks a lot," says Bob in a tone that implies the exact opposite.

"You did fine before," Enzo points out. "And there's like nothing to forget!"

Somehow, prior to rehearsals, Enzo had imagined a wedding being a bit longer.

"Bob, you've practiced your lines enough that I could feed them to you if I wanted. That leaves you with not stepping on Dot's toes. Just remember, First you take a step forwards with one foot, then a step forwards with the other."

Matrix's expression becomes more serious. "You'll do fine. And if you don't, you'll still BE fine."

Bob manages a small smile. "Thanks, Matrix." This time, his tone is sincere.

"Yeh, I'm not worried at all just..."

Nervous as all Net.

Tommy looks amused. "You could always both do it, unless you're trying to process people especially fast," he suggests. Then he feels an elbow nudge his side and glances over at his companion; Jason's giving the bots an odd look, one eyebrow arched curiously.

"They're always like this," Tommy mutters beneath the sounds of Hack and Slash's argument. "It's par for the course, really."

"But I wanna show em!" Slash complains again.

"Can't" "Can!" "Can't" "Can!" "Can't" "Can!"

"BOYS. BEHAVE."

Both mookbots cringe and swivel their heads towards the Bride's dressing area. MAN. Dot's voice really carries doesn't it?

"Yes ma'am."

YT appears to consider the question for a few moments: then she shrugs and says "Both, actually."

She wants to see how the robots will react. It's cruel, but has the potential to be really funny.

Indeed it does.

The ushers look dismayed.

"Both?"

"What do we do, Hack?"

The red bot scratches his head with a grating noise. "We both seat her, I guess."

"Okay. This way, please!"

And each takes her by a hand as they attempt to lead her to opposite sides of the aisle simultaneously. They're quite strong.

"Woah, woah, woah, dudes!" YT manages to wriggle out of their respective grips - she's quite good at such little feats of escapism - and fixes them each in turn with a stern look. "You guys may be able to come apart and be put back together, but I can't." She sighs. "What the heck. I'm Mouse's friend and she's Dot's friend, so I'll sit on Dot's side."

"Awwww..."

It is only because he is not properly equipped that Hack does not blow a raspberry at Slash before showing YT to her seat.

"Follow me please!"

Slash may or may not be getting a silly face (sans tongue. Mookbots do not come equipped with tongues) completely with wiggly fingers in lue of a raspberry.

It's been a while since Ray's had this color hair. Or this color anything, really. But hey, he's adaptable!

"I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be on the groom's side."
