Girls Night Out - Room 231 - Part one

Upstairs far above the bar, Room 231 has been rented for the night of fun and a warning placed on the Door. No one Under 21 allowed inside... And a sign, with large script written so neatly you would swear it was typed saying Girls Night Out in Progress. Men may enter at their own risk.

You can say this for a Command.Com, when they go about making a party they go ALL the way out. Three tables are set up with User-friendly only snacks and booze, Sprite Friendly only snacks and booze, and a rather bare table waiting for booze that the kitsune promised to bring, being friendly to both data and matter beings!

Pillows abound around a big screen TV, over in a corner several bags sit waiting to surprise the people about the come in. Now all that all that's missing are the girls for their night of fun.

Barbara rolls in late, quite late. Her hair is a mess and she looks a bit tired. "Hey, Dot. Sorry I'm late. I had an earthquake rescue operation to organize, and when I wrapped that up we ended up with a volcanic eruption out in the Pacific."

She looks around, "Wow, it looks like you've managed to get quite a crowd. Introduce me?"

"That's alright Barbara, I'm glad you made it!" She walks over. "Take a load off... The girl with the tentacles on her arms is Suzi Darley, she's been a friend to Bob and I since he first came here..."

"Did I tell you what a great idea I think this is?" Barbara smiles. She looks over at Suzi and nods, "I've run into her a couple of times, but we've never really talked much."

"Not really, but to be honest? I think we ALL needed a break from weirdness, stress and general 'augh' inducing subroutines for a while. Especially Suzi after the thing with the Oil." Dot grins. "There's even a few people I haven't met yet here..."

Barbara nods, "She had a real rough time. I don't think it was really something she was cut out for. But her help was invaluable."

Then she grins, "Sounds like people know a good idea when they hear it to me."

"Yeh.... that or looking for any excuse to have a good time. Laini, whome I don't you've met yet, even brought mutually friendly food for everyone."

It's pink, fluffy, and to human taste buds? It tastes like cotton candy. It acts like mild booze to all forms of life. It is Cloudahol, behold your new boozegod.

"That must take some doing, finding food that's biologically and digitally compatible." Barbara samples some.

"Mmhmm." Dot pours out a glassful and sips it. "I don't know how Laini pulled it off either, but I'm glad she did. She brought a couple of movies too for drinking games later."

Barbara doesn't drink much at home, she's got to be sharp in case of an emergency. ~~She's also a huge control freak and alcohol makes her uncomfortable.~~ But she keeps the glass and sips from it occasionally.

"So movies and drinking games, what else do you have planned for this wonderful evening of relaxation?"

"Hrmm.. Bar offered some suggestions. Silly tarot card reading, some manicures and make overs, and a little fashion show later when everyones more relaxed and gets to know each other."

Fashion. Aka Dot bought flirty goodie bags for people.

"That sounds wonderfully silly," Babs giggles a bit herself. "Just the thing to get everyone relaxed."

"And hopefully someone will stay sober enough to take PICTURES." Dot is beaming at this. She probably plans to take the photos back home and ask Bob, 'do I look fat in this' and see how long it takes him to stop backspacing.

Barbara laughs, "Do you need someone to volunteer to be designated photographer?"

"Well, if it isn't Ms. Grace Under Fire. Hiya, Oracle."

Color Jen very impressed with Babs, during the Black Oil escapade.

"Hello yourself," Barbara grins back. "It's too bad you're not from my world," she'd know, "I know some people who'd love to meet you."

"For business, or pleasure?" Jen smiles.

"The dating pool an always be increased."

Lately? Not so much luck in the men department for Jen.

Barbara laughs, "Business." Then she considers, "Well... I bet you'd find J'onn pretty interesting."

Jen first parses 'J'onn' as 'John.'

"Define 'interesting.' Does this J'onn morph into a man wolf or anything like that? If not, he's in the clear."

"Well, I've never seen him morph into a man wolf. Plenty of other things, but never a man wolf." Barbara grins and waits to see how Jen will respond to that.

"A metamorph? Total control over his cellular structure?"

Jen's never considered what meeting the male version of, say, Mystique would be like, but now that she thinks about it.....possibilities. Most of the metamorphs she meets are female.

"Among other things." Barbara grins, "Telepathic, matter phasing, invisibility, heightened strength, flight."

"I've got super strength, Hulk Class - I'm Class 90, to be exact - invulnerability, a healing factor which doesn't work on hangovers, a five mile standing long jump, and great legs. Good match, would you say?"

Although invisible boyfriend might be scary.

Or...fun.

Barbara laughs, "J'onn's sort of quiet, though. The whole 'still waters run deep' thing. One of the best men I know. Well, best Martian I know, if we're being precise."

"He's a Martian? Well, Mars Needs Women, doesn't it? Is he green?"

Jen thinks the so-called film is a masterpiece of Grade D schlock cinema. Read: So Bad It's Good.

"He is, and he is." Barbara grins, but then her face falls a bit, "The last of them. He's... he's a good guy, really."
