Girls Night Out - Room 231 - Part one

Upstairs far above the bar, Room 231 has been rented for the night of fun and a warning placed on the Door. No one Under 21 allowed inside... And a sign, with large script written so neatly you would swear it was typed saying Girls Night Out in Progress. Men may enter at their own risk.

You can say this for a Command.Com, when they go about making a party they go ALL the way out. Three tables are set up with User-friendly only snacks and booze, Sprite Friendly only snacks and booze, and a rather bare table waiting for booze that the kitsune promised to bring, being friendly to both data and matter beings!

Pillows abound around a big screen TV, over in a corner several bags sit waiting to surprise the people about the come in. Now all that all that's missing are the girls for their night of fun.

"Of course I made it! Sorry I'm late, Dot, but I had to stop by Barney's."

Which can only mean one thing. Jen puts down two of the shopping bags, and holds the third open so Dot can see inside.

There are bottles of Chanel and Christian Dior nail polish in every single shade available; the bag contains at least a hundred bottles, plus jars of foot cream, pumice stones, nail files, nail brushes, top coat, bottom coat, mid coat, and everything else appopriate for a DeLuxe manicure or pedicure.

Kids at Christmas have less absolutely delighted smiles than Dot. Granted she's made of data not matter but DAMN that's a lot of pampering in there!

"Close. I walked into Barney's - that's a department store where I'm from, with a huge beauty section - and just bought whatever they had. Chanel's the best polish; it even holds up pretty well during a fight. I once tossed the Rhino around and only had to do a minor touch up after I was done."

"Huh. I don't see much fighting these days but you know that's a good thing to remember... Come on, Laini brought something called Cloudahol that you HAVE to try." She walked over to the Mutually friendly table and picked up the pink bottle.

"Laini?" Jen asks. She hasn't met Laini yet, but the Cloudahol sounds interesting.

"Is it made of cumulus clouds?"

Or thunderheads?

"I'm not sure what it's made of, she brought it from her homeworld called Underhill, it's one of the few things data and organic people can both drink safely and it tastes." She pauses, sprite taste differently than people. "It has a lot of AMPs in it. I'm not sure how it tastes to a human palatte."

"Sprites and data forms like me usually eat energy and compressed data. AMPs are a kind of energy. This -tastes- like it has a lot of AMPs in it... I think Laini said it tastes really sweet." She grinned. "Different biologies and taste receptors I guess."

"Hit me, Dot. It sounds like Red Bull with a kick. That's an energy drink for humans," she adds, by way of explanation.

"I think we have something like that at home, but it doesn't taste NEARLY as good as this." She pours out a plastic cupful over ice for Jen and snags herself a few fried paradoxes from the same Mutually friendly food table.

Jen takes a small speculative sip, savoring the taste before she swallows.

"It's good! It's delicious, actually. Any unusual side effects?"

"Laini knows I'm more than a little paranoid about side effects."

Given the all clear, Jen takes another sip.

"Mmm. Tastes like sweet summer air and licorice. To me, at least. Kudos to you for being a conscientious host, sweetie."

Dot grins and takes a sip of her own cup and a handful of what looks like metallic Fiddle Faddle from a bucket labeled; Widgets: Sprite only Edible.

Speaking of which, Jen now eyes the Sprite portion of the feast with bright interest. She-Hulks have no upper limit of caloric intake.

"Dot, what's all of this?"

"Some food from home. Widget snack mix, Torii, chips with data dip, and a few drinks from home." One bottle, in particular glows spectacularly, labelled Liquid Tear, there's also Mac Liquor, Quaternary Matrix Whiskey, Wormfile, AMIGArita mix, and a bottle of White Zipfile present. The Widget snack mix looks like a mix of metallic nuts, green sticks, and popcorn coated with a thin layer of circuitry. "Torii are the ring-shaped things and I think you can figure the rest."
